Front row bottom left is my step-grandfather Albert Briton and my grandma (née Burgess) Briton. When I was really young, my mom, dad, and I drove up to Oregon for our annual summer vacation. We got to watch them square-dance. It was delightful. They earned so many ribbons; I have them in storage along with grandma’s scrapbooks.

Wow! I bet you have a treasure trove of photographs in those scrapbooks. If you ever scan them in, send us a few and we’ll add them to this page. Did you know the Beachcombers are still an active group? Still dancing after all these years!
