The Eagle III in happier times.
On the evening of Jan. 19, the Eagle III was hit by a rogue wave just outside the Coos Bay bar that turned the 40-foot fishing vessel upside down and sideways. Our heart goes out to the four crew members on the vessel that fateful day.

Fishermen’s Wives of Coos Bay are hosting a raffle, auction, rummage and bake sale from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, and from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, at 591 Miluk Drive, Coos Bay, off Cape Arago.
